And Their Two Children, Alvin Paul And Rosalind. Over The
Years It Has Been A Private Residence, Rooming House, Hair
Salon, Art Studio And Doctor S Offices. It Is Now The
Benchmark Bed And Breakfast Inn In Manchester. The
Professional Association Of Innkeepers International *Paii*
Defines Bed And Breakfast Inns As Historically Or
Architecturally Interesting Structures, That Are Owner
Occupied And Used Primarily For The Business Of Providing
Overnight Lodging. Bed And Breakfast Inns Serve Breakfast

Many Of The Original Stained Glass Windows Remain Including
Several In The Tower And The Interior Front Doors. The
Exterior Front Doors Contain The Original Glass With The O
For Olzendam Etched Prominently On Each Door. The Sunburst
Pattern Appears In Many Places Throughout The Inn, Both
Inside And Outside. On The Exterior, A Large Carved Sunburst
Appears Over The Front Steps And Smaller Versions Are Found
Around Windows On The North And South Sides Of The Building.
On The Interior, The Sunburst Pattern Can Be Seen In Several
Of The Stained Glass Windows And Is Also Carved Into Two Of
The Four Fireplace Mantels. With So Many Wonderful Sunburst
Examples Found Throughout The Inn, It S No Wonder That We
Chose This As Our Logo. The Ash Street Inn Has Become The
Benchmark Bed And Breakfast Inn In Manchester New Hampshire.
